I attended our
2 minute round table at the Hard Rock Cafe and learned the importance
of first impressions. As a result, I no longer go
to work in casual pants and a pull over, although many in my industry
do so. I've upgraded my wear, attitude, posture, and approach to
create impressions that increase the potential of landing my customer
of choice.
When the real work started (after the session) I was fortunate to
have met on a more personal level five new acquaintances. Four of
them turned into leads! So for 15 minutes and a smile, my business
got significantly better.

On several
occasions recently I have told you how much being a member of Diamond Star has helped me grow my business
and grow personally as well. It is just amazing how the organization
is evolving and the caliber of people who have joined.
As you
know I am in the Promotional Products business. I have at least
100 competitors just here in the valley to say nothing of the thousand
internet based businesses selling the same product. Setting my company
apart from the rest was not easy to do. What I offer that the other
companies mostly do not is a carefully executed plan to meet my
client’s needs and budget. Well that‘s great, but, when
you are out canvassing for clients it is very hard to get that message
across.
Diamond
Star has he given me the opportunity to meet with
people face to face in an informal setting where I learn about them
and they learn about me. I make it a point to get something out
of every event. What I mean by this is that one event I met graphic
artist, at another I met a group of women who love to get together
a few evenings a month and just have some fun. Sure the business
has come my way. It has evolved in a very natural and comfortable
way.
